The Level 2 award in Community Sports Leadership gives people aged 16 and up the skills needed to plan and deliver safe sporting and recreational activities. The Sports Leaders UK Level 3 award in Higher Sports Leadership builds upon the leadership skills and experience gained through the Level 2. These are enrichment courses taken as an option alongside your full-time programme of study.
This course gives students the opportunity to learn new skills, to work with specialist community groups, and is of value to all those who wish to further develop their coaching skills. It includes 30 hours voluntary leadership experience. These qualifications are practical in nature, with an emphasis on learning through doing and applying knowledge, rather than through theory.
