Inspired To Teach

The Inspired to Teach Programme is designed for students thinking about a career in teaching. We will help you find out more about the different routes into teacher training and equip you with the skills to become an outstanding teacher. We will help you build a portfolio of evidence to assist in future university applications at the start of year 13, along with writing an excellent university application.

Course Content

6 seminars throughout year 12:

Supported work experience in one of our alliance schools who specialise in teacher training

- One full week in July of Year 12 and a shorter placement in a different key stage during year 12.

Training in coaching and mentoring

- Experience mentoring a student in KS3/4

Experience as a Learning Support Assistant

- Gives you an insight into working with students who have additional educational needs.

An insight into teaching as a career.

- Helping you make an informed decision about your future.
